What it does
The artwork is the fun part, and it takes minutes. Photographing it on the product, writing a title, choosing tags and assembling the listing takes far longer than making the design did — and you do it again for every single product.
listingtool removes that step. Give it your design and your own product photographs. It composites the artwork onto them with a proper perspective transform, writes a title, thirteen tags and a description, and assembles a complete draft listing in your shop.
You review everything before it goes anywhere. New installations create drafts only.
How it works
- Your shop, your sign-in. Connect through Etsy's own sign-in page. You never type a password into the app, and you can revoke access from your Etsy account at any time.
- Runs on your computer. Image compositing happens locally, and your designs never leave your machine — see the privacy policy.
- A daily limit you control. The app caps how many listings it will create per day, so nothing runs away with itself.
Status
listingtool is used today by its developer's own shop, RoseGiftShopUS, and is not offered to other sellers. No other shop can connect to it right now.
If there's interest from other sellers, the plan is to open it up in a later phase, after requesting Commercial Access from Etsy. The credential server a future seller would need — so they'd never have to register their own Etsy developer app — is already built and running; see how it works. It is not yet offered to any shop but our own.
